Visitor dies at Road View

Police are investigating a fatality, which occurred along Road View, St Peter sometime after 11 p.m. on Monday, resulting in the death of a 50-year-old Austrian male.

Police are yet to release the name of the visitor. However, they say preliminary investigations suggest that he lost control of the motor car he was driving and collided with a pole. He subsequently died at the scene.

His 33-year-old passenger, whose name has also not been given, complained of chest pains and was transported to the QEH by ambulance.

That is a popular stretch of road where many people have lost their lives. That section of road needs widening, improved lighting, a more gripping road surface, and good and well maintained road marking. My condolences to families of the deceased.

He IS NOT a visitor. He has lived in Barbados for quite some time now and even had a Bajan accent. Let’s report properly and inform correctly. RIP to my dear friend.

This is for our politicians to put right but they don’t really care how bad things has become in Barbados, these are the most destructive non productive bunch of people ever to claim to run Barbados. And the sad thing they are only there because bajan people always vote for the party come what may…
