Cinematographer sent off to Dodds

A 26-year-old cinematographer will have to spend the next three weeks at HMP Dodds on remand for drugs.

Jon-Paul Emile Vincent Holder-Price of #2 Greenland Enterprise, Christ Church yesterday appeared before Magistrate Graveney Bannister charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and important for cannabis.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence, which allegedly occurred on April 16 this year.

The substance, weighing four pounds, had an estimated street value of $16, 000.

Prosecutor Peter Barrow objected to bail on several grounds. He told the court the accused was the holder of dual citizenship and that investigations were ongoing into the matter which spanned two jurisdictions.

However, Holder-Price’s attorney Damien Sands argued that his client was not a flight risk as he had left and returned to the island, had lived in the country for over 20 years and was not known to the court.

Bannister denied the bail application and the matter was adjourned until October 4 when Holder-Price reappears in the No 1 District “A” Magistrates Court.
