How is it a sudden death if the man was found in a semiconscious state?

@John Herbert, ‘sudden’ can refer to a death that occurs unexpectedly by non-violent means. Death can be deemed sudden if it occurs even in a hospital while undergoing treatment for known symptoms, but the patient succumbs at a time or in a way at odds with what was to be expected.
