No charges

Police say no charges will be brought against the parents of two young children tied with strips of cloth on a bed in a photograph being circulated on social media.

In a statement, police say joint investigations conducted with the Child Care Board revealed there was no abuse or neglect of the children.

Police however said that personnel from the Child Care Board will continue to work with the two families.

i am confused, 2 elder children were tired up by a father in bank hall, /the children taken away, 2 small children tied up/they see nothing wrong with it, suppose a fire had broken out, these cants always waiting until the horse have bolted to shut the gate

It is unfortunate that these infants had to be tied up in the first place. these things leave an indelible mental scar in these children’s memories and they may very well grow up to be adults thinking it is the correct action to take. We’re about to mark 50 years of independence which is a landmark of our freedom and here we go placing our children in form of bondage. Please parents and counselors, try other simpler methods like time-outs, or some other educational method like drawing something or a star reward whereupon they get a little prize after 5 stars. read them a story to set their little minds thinking and their imaginations working. Use this opportunity to make them smart.

Who says that this was not a case of two children being mischievous, and basically pulling a prank. However as it has reached the attention of the child care board then it has to carefully investigated.

Here we go again Holmes…. A picture paints a thousand words. This picture clearly shows no pranks nor mischiefs involved it is a punishment form which will manifest itself with those children developing low self esteem and lack of self confidence and self belief. As you said, the authorities are working on it. I do think however, the parents need counseling on ho not to punish little ones.
