Deodorant thief gets community service

courtA Christ Church teenager was yesterday ordered to perform 100 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to theft.

Eighteen-year-old Adam Dillon Charles of BLK 1A, Green Hill Close, Silver Hill, Christ Church was charged with stealing deodorant valued at $12.99 from Massy Stores Supermarket on August 30.

Prosecutor Sergeant Martin Rock told the District “A” Magistrates Court Charles was apprehended after he was seen by the store’s security guard concealing the item as he shopped with his grandfather.

He failed to pay for the item when he approached the cashier.

Addressing Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick from the  dock the young man explained that he took the item but he did not want to put his grandfather through the expense.

Charles returns to the No 1 Court on October 28.

Good. He learn from his mistake. Massy need to do community service and a hefty fine for a lot of over priced items on the shelves that passed and approaching the sell by date and want the full price for the items.
Massey aka Musty branch in Oistins need closing for refurbishment, the freezers that store the meat, poultry & fish need replacing, years ago, out dated real bad.
