Foreigners arrested after $11m ganja find at sea

KINGSTON – Three foreigners are now in police custody following the seizure of more than 2,000 pounds of ganja south of the Alligator Reef.

The police say about 2 o’clock yesterday morning, members of the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard were on patrol in the area when they intercepted the vessel.

The police say ganja with a street value of $11 million and approximately 300 gallons of fuel were found on the boat.

The three men were subsequently arrested for breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act and their vessel seized.
