Elderly man dies at Brownes Beach

Police are investigating the unnatural death of 73-year-old Oscar Holford of Bannister Land, Martindale’s Road, St Michael.

According to police spokesman, Acting Station Sergeant Roland Cobbler, preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased and a friend went to Brownes Beach, St Michael, for their regular swim at about 5:30 this morning.

Whilst in the water the friend observed the deceased slumped and unresponsive.

Police say that foul play is not suspected at this time, but they will await the results of an autopsy to guide investigations into the matter.

Exactly. One cannot presumed that he drowned. He could have had a heart attack that rendered him unresponsive.

Every sudden death has to be treated as unnatural until the autopsy indicate otherwise.

….and what is ” SUDDEN DEATH ” may I ask ? ALL DEATHS ARE SUDDEN then ..as no one knows when a person is going to die.
Every time a person dies outdoors the media says it is sudden death as though only natural deaths occur indoors at Homes ,Hospitals and Institutions.
Every death not every SUDDEN death has to be treated as unnatural until investigations prove otherwise…..THEN an autopsy is done to determine the cause of death.
Autopsies are NOT done on EVERY person that dies
