Codrington pleads not guilty on assault charge

courtActing Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick yesterday ordered a St Michael man to stay away from his alleged victim.

Glenville Ricardo Codrington, 47, of Block 2G, Madison Terrace, Deacon’s Housing Area, St Michael is charged with assaulting Janelle Browne and causing her actual bodily harm.

Codrington pleaded not guilty of the charge when he appeared in the No 1 District “A” Magistrates Court yesterday.

The incident is said to have occurred on December 19, 2015.

There was no objection to bail  by Prosecutor Sergeant Martin Rock and the accused man, who was not represented by a lawyer, was able to secure his $3,000 bail with one surety.

He returns to court on November 24.
