Snagg back at Dodds hours after his release
Just hours after being released from HMP Dodds for time served, Jason Anthony Snagg was back behind bars for allegedly damaging someone’s property.
Snagg, 31, of Villa Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael was granted his freedom by Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick just before 11:00 o’clock tuesday morning.
However, by the end of the business tuesday he was back in police custody charged with damaging a mirror belonging to Everton Cumberbatch.
Prosecuting the case, Sergeant Martin Rock objected to bail on the grounds that Snagg had only been released and was back in custody hours later.
Rock argued that society needed protection from Snagg since his prior record showed “he had a propensity for violence”.
The accused, who was not represented by an attorney-at-law, was asked whether he had anything to say. He responded: “Call my mother and tell she I getting bail”.
However, Frederick said: “Not today. Remanded into custody until September 21.”
