Remind me: a 16 yr old youth with a $3 cannabis reefer is caught and remanded in prison.
Two men charged with possession, possession with intent to supply and trafficking (a double charge if ever there was one) are fined $10000 within eight months.
Pray tell me, how does the court expect the men to raise the $10000?
Ar e our magistrates normal people? Apart from a law degree, what is the interviewing process?

Hal Austin, the case with the 16-year-old child really riled me.

Only in a banana republic like Barbados can a 16-year-old child end up in jail for having $3 worth of cannabis on his person.

Some educated people in Barbados (Magistrates) are woefully lacking in rational thought, logic, and common sense as was evidenced in the decision regarding that 16-year-old child.

Yes Bajans, 16 years is still a child.
