Men facing assault charges get bail
Two men facing assault charges for different offences were granted bail when they appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court yesterday.
Vernon Matthew Kellman of # 465 Kingsland Terrace, Christ Church was given $3,000 bail and ordered to attend the Oistins’ Court on September 15.
Kellman is charged with unlawfully assaulting David Corbin and intentionally damaging a television set belonging to Corbin, on August 17.
The 43-year-old Kellman was not asked to enter a plea and his case was transferred to the Oistins’ Court.
Meanwhile, Deandre Nathaniel Bailey who is charged with assaulting Dawn Applewaithe Burt on August 16 and causing her actual bodily harm, was granted bail to the tune of $5,000.
The 44-year-old Bailey of Cane Vale New Road, Christ Church was also not requited to enter a plea, but was ordered “not to venture into Lower Crescent, Gall Hill, Christ Church” where the complainant resides, not to interfere with her in any way, nor send anyone else to do so.
