Drugs up in smoke

The Royal Barbados Police Force yesterday destroyed a large quantity of illegal drugs, consisting of cannabis and cocaine.

The marijuana destroyed had a combined weight of 1,685. 34 kilograms, along with 11,913 and the cocaine weighed 49.94 kilograms. All went up in smoke at the incinerator Seawell, Christ Church.

The illegal drugs were from cases that were adjudicated.

The street value of the drugs was not immediately available.
