Budget 2016 Update: Finance Minister hikes Bank Asset Tax

Finance Minister Chris Sinckler announced a hike in the Bank Asset Tax.  It will move  from 0.2 percent to 0.35 percent.

The 0.15 percentage point increase in the rate will yield additional revenue of $14.3 million.

    But the yield in revenue would essentially come from people as banks will now pass this cost on….
