Also present were Chief Justice, Sir Marston Gibson; Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Senator Patrick Todd, retired Jurist, Sherman Moore; retired Commissioner of Police, Grantley Watson, and Chief of Staff of the BDF, Alvin Quintyne.

Delivering the sermon, Rector of St Luke Anglican Church, Reverend Davidson Bowen, praised the BDF for assisting in maintaining stability in the country over the years, saying it was through love of country that they bear arms.

“Service is meaningless without love. Selfless service comes through love,” Rev Bowen said.

At the end of the 90 minute-service Sir Elliott took the salute outside the church. (NC)
