Thompson wins Women’s 100m

Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson has won the Women’s 100m in 10.71 seconds.

Thompson, the national record holder, denied the two-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce a third Olympic gold.  Tori Bowie of the United States clocked 10.83 seconds to claim silver, while Fraser-Pryce took Bronze in 10.86 seconds.

    Congrats to the Caribbean winners. I did not expect Shelly-Ann with her injury, to make it to the olympics so I am super proud that she made it and still medaled.
