Consumers will pay less for gasoline, diesel and kerosene, as well as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from midnight tonight.

The retail price of gasoline will move from BDS $2.93 per litre to BDS $2.85, a decrease of eight cents per litre. The price of diesel will drop from BDS $2.07 per litre to BDS $2.04, a saving of three cents. Kerosene will now retail at 98 cents per litre, down from BDS $1.03.

Meanwhile, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will retail at BDS $135.27 per 100 lb cylinder, down from BDS $136.99, a decrease of $1.72. The price of the 25 lb cylinder has dropped from $39.35 to $38.92, a decrease of 43 cents, while the 22 lb cylinder will now cost $34.41, down from $34.79, which is 38 cents less. These adjustments in retail prices are due solely to changes in the cost, insurance and freight of these refined products.

That 8 cent gov could have kept n not say anything. That 8 cent equals millions of dollars spent on gas in a given week in this country and will allow people at least to be less constrained to their already limited budget.

People don’t seem to realize that fuel prices are GOING UP EVERY MONTH.. the increase .between June and July was more than the decrease between July and Today( August ) so if one was to check the price at the beginning of say April it would show that prices ( gasoline )were cheaper then.
