Forty-eight-year-old David Anthony Griffith will spend the next six months behind bars at HMP Dodds after he pleaded guilty to a robbery charge.
Griffith, who was listed on the police charge sheet as having no fixed place of abode, admitted to entering Sharkey’s Bar and Restaurant and stealing one bottle of Worcestershire sauce worth $10, one bottle of Angostura Bitters worth $15 and a $200 camera.
The incident occurred between July 18 and 19.
However, he told Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick that he was not guilty of entering Barbados Labour Party headquarters between July 7 and 8 and stealing 13 bottles of rum worth $110.91, three bottles of beer valued at $7.50 and 16 bottles of soft drinks worth $31.66 belonging to Kimberly Richards.
The accused also pleaded not guilty to entering RJ City Restaurant as a trespasser between July 11 and 12 and stealing $10 in currency and one cash pan valued at $45.
Griffith returns to court on September 2.
