Campers tour BT

Twenty-three people, including campers and camp counsellors, visited Barbados TODAY yesterday as part of the National Library Service Summer Programme.

In keeping with the theme of this year’s camp, which is Information Explosion, the students had the opportunity to tour Barbados TODAY Warren’s, St Michael plant for a
first-hand look at the news gathering and production process.

Four lucky campers got the opportunity to sit in the television news presenters’ chair and to practise reading news scripts from the teleprompter. The students, who were also exposed to the editing and page planning process, also showed keen interest during a session to do with website and E-paper posting.
