Tattoo man held for Silver Hill shooting death

ACOURT TODAY BLOCK Christ Church man has been charged in connection with the recent shooting of Greg Trotman.

Trotman, 29, formerly of Briar Hill in the same parish, was reportedly shot days ago while riding a motorcycle along Silver Hill, Christ Church.

The man charged with causing him serious bodily harm is Omar Leron Haynes, also 29, of Green Hill Drive, Silver Hill.

Haynes was not required to plead after Acting Magistrate Alliston Seale read the charge to him at the Oistins Magistrates Court Monday morning.

Station Sergeant Rudolph Burnett objected to bail on the grounds that it was a very serious offence and one which he was “almost 100 per cent sure will be upgraded shortly to a capital (offence)”.

The tattoo artist, who is being represented by attorney-at-law Andrew Pilgrim, QC, was remanded until August 4.
