Chef must serve up $750 fine
A St Thomas chef was today fined $750 forthwith with an alternative of two months at HMP Dodds for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant handed down the sentence after Omar Antoine Richards, 34, of Arch Hall, pleaded guilty in the District “A” Magistrate’s Court No 2.
The facts revealed that Richards was arrested after police passing near Massy Stores, Warrens, St Michael while on duty had cause to stop him.
He was searched and one wax wrapper with the illegal substance was found in the right front pocket of his pants.
Richards admitted ownership and knowledge of the cannabis.
