I pray the evil driver is apprehended and put off the Streets. The driver when caught, should be incarcerated till his case is called. We need to get real serious with some of these lawless drivers. Get them off the Streets.

The driver poses a threat to the safety of those driving on the road, but he or she doesn’t pose a threat to the public safety, so therefore, his or her counsel can still argue for bail because hit and run is a bailable offence, until the child dies. From the two comments above there is an assumption that the driver was operating the vehicle which stuck the child, in correct frame of mind, (which doesn’t excuse his or her actions) but he or she could have been operating the vehicle under influence of an illegal or legal substance.

It is wrong to speculate and jump to conclusions, hit and run can be the result of not having a valid driver’s licence, or not having valid insurance etc. but whatever the case is, it is wrong and illegal to flee the scene after being involved in a road accident.
