Holder admits to selling $10,500 rings for $160

Burglary accused Corey Omar Holder remains on bail pending a pre sentencing report.

Holder of Jordan’s Land, St George today pleaded guilty to stealing two rings belonging to Savitree Singh worth $10, 500 on April 6, 2015.

“I took them it’s true. I was broke and I sell them, but I sorry now . . . I sell them for $160 to a fella in town,” Holder reportedly told the officers when he was arrested and charged.

The court presided over by Justice Jacqueline Cornelius also heard that Holder, 30, was a handyman for Singh when the incident occurred.

However, on the police report he is recorded as being a security guard.

In a written statement, Holder said he was working on Sunday March 28, 2015, when he went behind Singh’s house and pulled the glass door, which was opened, went in and “took up” the rings.

They were later recovered.

Holder returns to court on September 21, 2016.

“I took them it’s true, i was broke and I sell them for $160.00″… a fella in town. Two rings value at
$10,500 you stole. Now you will have to do 10,500 hours of community service in town.
