Not budging!

Vendors who ply their trade along the busy Duncan Oneal Bridge in The City are refusing to budge.

On Tuesday, they were ordered by police to pack up their belongings and leave the area.

However, fruit vendor Junior ‘Fox’ Greenidge  says he has been selling in the area for about three decades now.
He is among those who say they have no intention of leaving.

Could not have said it better. What bad are the vendors doing that the police want to move them? Have the police dealt with the matter of the gaited community when security refuse to let them in in response to domestic violence call? If the vendors are a problem regulate them in the right, way, but do not move them just because you have power over the poor man. Why have you, Mr. Po Po, not moved in on the Maloney situation. Oh yeah, you must get an executive order to do so.

They could do that because the administrators in Barbados allow bare #*** in this country for all these years.
Pedestrians are blocked all over the streets in Bridgetown that taxpayers money put down.
Now all kinds of vendors are taking over lay-bys on our highways that should be clear for drivers’ emergencies. Not only wrong but dangerous. That is what other drivers and I pay road tax for but cannot access as we should.
And these people that making money off taxpayers’ roads don’t pay one cent in tax. But keep reciting that ” poor man/ black man” nonsense.
The real poor in this country are the over-taxed “working poor” that paying for all the rest that living off the ” Government”. Ain nuh ” Government” bank – wunna living offa we.
And ” we” sick and tired o’ wunna and want wunna off de landscape dat wunna got looking like a backwoods shanty town. Go and look fuh real work!

    @ch……stuppppesssss…….

So you complain about blocking roads and tax dollars, r u fah real? Go look forward r a real job, you chat loud behind an avatar, why you don’t pass and tell them look for a real job? Tell them move off the bridge….Coward…..listen they have children, they have bills, they have commitments jus like you big shot. You then chat bout administration and place looking like a shanty town, you been shanty towns you are rude, idiotic and have no love for the vendors. They send their children to school, college and UNI by doing the same thing.

Ah so you watch your taxpayer dollars? What about Carsicot, St Joseph hospital, the 38 highway project, Greenland, GEMS, Cahill, You never said anything about the Disastrous NIS four seasons investments in the millions of tax dollars, you never said anything about the millions spent for de infidel royal family visit, you never said nothing about the hundreds of thousands for fraud-ell parties at Illaro court for visitors, you never said anything about the huge tax payers dollars used to target caucus visitors whilst overlooking the Akebullan visitors with that colonised mentality, you ain’t complain about mark Maloney, you ain’t complain bout bjerkoffs with them over the top fees in privatisation costing us millions, you ain’t complain about Owen and his claims to integrity and sold almost everything, you nah say nothing about the corruption in Oval, you nah open your mouth and talk bout clico, you nah say nothing about politicians thieving old people land but priority is the vendors and those on highways because your tax payer dollars are accounted for?

Listen man, allow the poor man to make a dollar. As long as they clean up when done I have no issues with the hustler. We ain’t all went UWI, we ain’t all have big jobs, we ain’t all lose the skill of empathy. I embrace change but not when it affects the poor livihood. draconian flexes will generate more distrust and rebellion. Want wunna off de landscape…… Get brave and speak your feelings in person……yellow belly coward, people like you pass and smile in yr face and then wish you death. Backwards shanty town? Well I never…them ain’t robbing, thieving but see people like you…… Allow the hustler, wanna get condition to go in in Massa and spending rather than going cheap side and get proper organic.

Don’t know what else to say….you chase us, call us squatters, negative associations easy with your labels, I dare you to stop and say something. I have no love for people like you, yet not a word on the hundreds of millions flushed…..smh

Dont move. I guarantee Task Force will be there to bully the poor, whilst they can’t touch the whites. Leave them, I have an Idren that is now managing a Social Work department for a London Council. Home twice a year. His mother sold sweeties and had a snack tray out side Eagle Hall primary and his old man sold snow cones, That sent him Uni in Brunell. We both went eagle hall. I have a lot of respect for the hustlers as if not for sweeties, snacks and sno cones he would not be the man he is now with a level of humility that is paramount for any human being. They will soon come bully you but if them whites nah move don’t move. Our fields and hills are now our very own…..who wrote that garbage….. They were leased not owned…..

Why affa all de years dem accum wid de foolishness ’bout clearing de bridge .
I see woman outside Cave Shepherd scamming people for years Nah a man ever ask she who she a collect fa. But if i pass de ten a times a week ,she yell sir ,sir ,come ere. She want removing from de cause in my humble opinion she should have been removed 15 years ago.
But , poor people trying to mek an honest living fa dem family is being harassed by some idiots dat don’t have any ting else to tink bout.
I seh remove the vagrants dat a lay down in stinking clothes all bout town begging ,and meking we look more like Haiti din we should.Nah a single soul ask de beggars sleeping between stores and even now along de streets to move .
Tings dat mek sense don’t seem to be sensible to unna wid authority.
It seems as though unna like to see people a suffer. Good lawd.

People you all are forgetting the good book said in the eyes of God everyone is equal,( but hey stop that’s if you are white.).
Our black people was wrong from day one, we have never had no one to fight for us , no one to honestly represent us who’s fault is it , we seems not to get anything right we get no justice and what is even worst the people we vote for to represent us is even show openly what side they are on…

We have a real equal society now (them and us )..

The white man wouldn’t be touched or imprisoned, because its being worked on in his favour at a hotel some where .. but our black bajan families will feel the pain by being forcibly removed ….but who cares…
