All Saints win again

All Saints Primary ended the day unbeaten with two wins in the Sonya Knight zone of the National Sports Council’s Pine Hill Dairy-sponsored Primary Schools Netball Tournament played today at Speightstown, St Peter.

They won 3-1 against A DaCosta Edwards Primary after leading 2-1 at half time. Goal-shooter Natalia White had a perfect score of two goals from two attempts and goal-attack Elicia Phillips one goal from her three attempts. A DaCosta Edwards’ goal-shooter Faith Hinkson accounted for their one goal.

The margin of victory for All Saints was even bigger when they defeated St Albans Primary 6-2. At half time the score was 3-1 and they went on to take a comfortable win compliments goal-shooter White and goal-attack Phillips who score three goals each. St Albans goal-attack Leann Leacock was responsible for both goals from four attempts while goal-shooter Jamika Sandiford did not even get a chance to take a shot at goal because the ball never came her way.

Despite that loss St Albans did well to pull one back against St Lucy Primary winning 4-1. They led 3-1 at half time but only managed one goal in the second and decisive quarter with goal-shooter Sandiford making a contribution this time around with two goals along with goal-attack Leacock also scoring two. St Lucy goal-attack Shalon Henry was the only player to get the ball through the hoop.

Gordon Greenidge Primary dominated Half Moon Fort Primary with a 7-1 victory. The score was 3-1 at half time and Gordon Greenidge picked up a tad more momentum to score four goals in the final quarter thanks to goal-shooter Shadae Ellis’ five goals from ten attempts and goal-attack Akeera Harewood’s two from five. Ashonite Miller netted the lone goal for Half Moon Fort.
