Three cases dropped

COURT TODAY BLOCKThree people, who appeared before District ‘A’ Magistrate Douglas Frederick yesterday, had their cases dropped due to lack of evidence.

There are Dwayne Waldron of 1st Avenue, Goodland, St Michael, Jhakira Patrice Matthew of Kensington New Road, St Michael and Tony Orlando Payne of Block 3A, Barbarees Gardens, St Michael.

Waldron, a 33-year-old general worker, had been charged with entering the home of Ridathin Myers with intent to commit theft on March 16, 2016, while Matthews, a 28-year-old housekeeper was previously accused of robbing Michael Phillips of $100 on April 17, 2013.

Payne, 34-year-old labourer, was also allowed to walk free after the prosecution said it would no longer be proceeding with the charge of using threatening words towards Kalene Carter on 28 September, 2013.
