Mother and son charged with assaulting five-year-old

todays courtKeep away from Deacon’s Primary School!

That was the warning which Bridgetown magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant gave to a 16-year-old accused who went before her today on a charge of assaulting a five-year-old schoolboy and causing him actual bodily harm.

Not only was Chad Shamar Springer charged with the offence, allegedly committed on May 10, but also his 40-year-old mother, Kathy-Ann Angela Springer.

As they sat side by side in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court dock, the prosecutor raised no objection to bail but asked that both accused be ordered to stay away from the school grounds.

However, as the elder Springer has to pick up a child from the school, the restriction was not placed on her, but her co-accused.

The mother and son were granted $7,000 bail each. They return to court on July 28.

Barbados has certainly gone to the dogs, the level of intelligence baffles the mind at the actions of adults and there call Barbados an educated society, pack of dumb down persons
