Prescod accused of beating ex-girlfriend
Jumar Conway Prescod’s fate will be determined when he returns to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on June 2.

Around 8 p.m. on the date of the alleged incident, Prescod came home to find the woman sitting in his living room. He told her he was not comfortable with her being there.
Prescod then called his boss on the phone and spoke with him, before going outside and returning with a rock in one hand. He poked the woman in her face three times with the rock, telling her he would burst her face.
The court further heard that Prescod then placed the rock on a table, began hitting his ex-girlfriend on her shoulder and grabbing her throat, urging her to fight back. She refused and he began slapping her in the face.
Prescod then pushed her down on to a chair, thereafter hitting her with a monitor and a DVD player, before hitting her in her left eye and daring her to call the police.
She sought medical attention and reported the matter.
Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant granted Prescod $6,000 bail until he returns for sentencing on June 2, when the complainant is also expected to be present.
