American remanded to Dodds

American Everett Kesua Daly, 39, will spend the next 18 months at Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds.

Daly today pleaded guilty to four drug related charges when he appeared at the District A Magistrates court.

Charges include possession of five kilogrammes of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

He was fined $80, 000 forthwith or 18 months in prison. The fine was not paid.

Daly arrived in Barbados from New York last Saturday. After clearing immigration and proceeding to Customs, a search of his suitcase revealed two shoe boxes containing a number of packages containing cannabis.

I just cannot fathom a mature adult would fly from New York with two shoe boxes containing cannabis and expect to not get caught. Of course a fine of $40,000 US is not going to happen,
Surprised this was not found in NY
    Just a very stupid act
