Most of the first half proved uneventful but then Eastmond received a pass in the midfield and took a long range shot that was assisted by the wind and went over the head of St Silas goalkeeper Malique Griffith and into the back of the goal bars to give his side a 1-0 advantage heading into the second half.

Eastmond apparently enjoys those long-range shots because he struck a lazy-looking shot from 30 yards out but surprisingly the ball hit the top post of the goal bars and James Pounder was in the right position to put it past Griffith who was not having the best of times in the bars.

Also at that same venue, defending champion St Stephen’s Primary played West Terrace but that game ended 0-0 despite several chances that all went a begging.
