‘Lord Evil’ out on bail

Almost a year after he was granted bail, Andre “Lord Evil” Jackman was officially released from lawful custody today.

Jackman, 35, of Stroud Bay, Crab Hill, St Lucy was on remand for about 12 months, pending the High Court’s approval of his two sureties.

Today, the sureties was given the nod and Jackman was released on $175,000 bail.

Jackman is accused of the April 2014 murder of Charlie Dume, who died after being shot at a bar in Nelson Street.

Four other St Lucy men – 34-year-old Ryan Omar Samuels, 23-year-old Shane Hakeen Omar Babb and 27-year-old Rory St Clair Thomas, all of Grape Hall, along with 27-year-old Zavier Renaldo Walkes of Archer’s Road, Crab Hill – have been charged in connection with crime.

      It’s on the state to prove that he is such a threat.

      They failed to do so.

    YOU GOT PEOPLE IN JAIL FOR LESSER CRIMES NO BAIL, NO PARDON…YET THOSE THAT ARE AH MENACE AND THREAT TO THIS COUNTRY GETTING BAIL/PARDON SOMETHING WRONG WITH DIS JUSTICE SYSTEM…..BARBADOS NEEDS AH WAKE UP CALL URGENTLY, SWIFTLY…THESE BIG WIGS WANT BRINGING TO THEY KNEES FROM THE MOST HIGH…WE ARE IN QUICK SAND..LORD GOD HELP US

    Listen only in bim would it take that long ta try a man or woman if the CROWN CANT MAKE A CASE IN 6 MONTHS he would be bailed !! law is law at the end of the day !!

    I thought only us in th Bahamas had this problem but I guess criminals all over the caribbean know how to play the judicial system.

    Well explain how a man with serious criminal priors and an ultimately horrible criminal reputation can get bail for murder but a Policeman who is an outstanding citizen with no criminal priors and a good reputation continues to be denied bail? Something ain’t right about this picture.
