Agard on gun, ammo and drug charges

COURT TODAY BLOCKA 1st Avenue Gooding Road, Station Hill, St Michael man who appeared in court today on gun, ammunition and drugs charges, has been remanded to Dodds prison.

Kirk Duane Erskine Agard, 36, was not required to plead to any of the six indictable charges which Magistrate Douglas Frederick read to him in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Agard is accused of unlawful possession of a firearm and five rounds of ammunition, possession of cannabis, intent to supply, trafficking the drug and having apparatus fit for use in connection with cannabis.

The offences were allegedly committed on May 6.

Police allegedly seized a .38 handgun containing five rounds of ammunition and 500 grams of cannabis after executing a search warrant at Agard’s residence last Friday.

The accused, who was represented by attorney-at-law Angella Mitchell-Gittens, will return to the District ‘A” Magistrates’ Court on June 6.
