$1.6M drug bust

Two men are in police custody and the search continues for a third following a drug bust just off the west coast last night.

According to police, the Drug Squad and the Barbados Coast Guard intercepted a boat around 8.50 p.m. and seized 814 pounds of cannabis.

Lawmen say the boat sank as a result of unfavourable conditions at sea.

A Barbadian and a Vincentian were held in connection with the seizure but a third man who was onboard the vessel at the time was not found.

Rescue efforts are currently underway.

The drugs have a street value of $1.6 million.

What is this some kind of a joke, these people are not taking the security or the law in Barbados serious at all. How can you not feel they could be quite a lot of attempts every day and night..
These people must be knowing some things our police and security forces don’t know, or some people are slipping up with the protection…This is just not right…
