‘Terrible mistake’

Visitor caught with five spliffs at Reggae on the Beach

COURT TODAY BLOCKEven though he thought it was “nothing much” before, a Polish visitor came to the realization today that having marijuana in Barbados is serious business.

Kajetan Jersy Pochron also assured magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant that “it will never, ever happen again”.

Pochron, who is on his third visit to the island, insisted he was not a marijuana user and it was never a part of him. “I will stick to snorkelling and Harrison’s Cave,” he said.

The court heard that Pochron, who is staying at a Dover Beach, Christ Church establishment, went to Reggae on the Beach on April 24. He was one of the patrons searched and during that time, a cigarette box containing three spliffs was found on him.

“I made a terrible mistake,” he told the District ‘A’ Magistrate Court today. I found it jut before going in and I thought it was no big thing, but after spending the night in custody and speaking with the officers they have cleared that up,” he said.

He was fined $1,500 forthwith, with the alternative of six months in jail. The fine was paid.

The locals that are arrested are given the option of paying a fine?

Sure it will never happen again, because he won’t be coming back here ever again you clowns.

Think of the bad publicity that Bim is going to get over this when he returns home.

And all for what? Three smokes?

When are you people going to get it, cannabis was criminalized wrongful, it is not a class one drug that claim was falsified and can’t not be supported by scientific evidence.

You people are jailing folks wrongful, decriminalize the cannabis.
