UPDATE-Man collapses and dies at karaoke bar

Relatives have identified the body of the elderly man who collapsed and died at a karaoke bar in St Philip around 10 p.m. Thursday.

The victim is said to be Frank Bovell, a returning national, who was in his 80s.

Bovell, who was originally from Belleplaine, St Andrew, reportedly only flew back home a week ago and has been staying in St Philip.

He reportedly entered East Point Bar and Grill in Ragged Point, St Philip in a jovial mood and was interacting with other patrons before collapsing to his death.

Up to 11:30 p.m., his body was still on the scene but police were assisted by relatives in identifying his body after emergency ambulance personnel pronounced him dead on the scene, shortly after the incident.

No foul play  is suspected.

Doesn’t have to be at church. He died happy geez. Don’t you know that God doesn’t judge and lives in all. This concept of judgment is so ridiculous to me.

Would being at church have saved his life? He was in his 80’s he could not have made the journey alone.

He died happily doing what pleased him. You should take a lesson from him Lester. Do what makes you happy once it doesn’t affect the joy and peace of others.

    The golden rule Lester boy.

May he rest in peace. I do not agree with Lester ‘s comment at all. He couldve died at home or any place. Its not your place to judge him.

Jesus went to a wedding… was that a place of partying? Lester please show me where the Bible says one should not attend functions of merriment such as the karaoke bar. and Lester while you are at it… you can tell off Jesus for giving wine to people who were drinking several hours before He offered them the best.
Ask yourself why Jesus when to the pharisee house in Luke 14:1-14:
