Eastmond’s burglar sentenced

The man who broke into the home of comedian Trevor Eastmond in February will spend the next 12 months in jail.

Nineteen-year-old Kemo Jaleel Carter was sentenced by Magistrate Ian Weekes when he returned to the District D Magistrates court today after two months on remand.

The barber was also handed a further nine-month prison sentence in relation to a second burglary. Both sentences will run concurrently.

The Spring Farm, St Thomas resident pleaded guilty on an earlier occasion to stealing US $3,000 and a wallet from Eastmond’s home.
