Narces pleads guilty to assault
David Omar Anthony Narces will spend the next six months in prison after unlawfully punching a man in his face.
When the 26-year-old unemployed man of Brewsters Land, Whitehall, St Michael appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court today, he was given the sentence by Magistrate Douglas Frederick after pleading guilty to assaulting Theodulus Goodman on December 17, 2015 causing him actual bodily harm.
Narces also pleaded guilty to assaulting his ex-girlfriend Alana Barker on February 4, 2016.
The prosecution told the court that Narces went to Goodman’s house and asked to speak to Barker, with whom he has two children.
Soon afterwards, Goodman and Barker exited the house and Narces followed them.
He started a conversation with Barker which became heated and in fear that Narces would strike her, Goodman intervened.
Narces however, punched him in his jaw leaving him temporarily unconscious. Goodman also sustained further injuries after falling to the ground and striking his head on the road.
A report was subsequently made to the Black Rock Police Station and Narces was arrested on April 12.
