Gaping hole in Round House road

A hole has opened up in a section of the road at Round House, Bathsheba in St Joseph, forcing drivers and other road users to exercise extra caution.

It was not immediately clear what caused the part of the road to cave in, but it poses a hidden danger to unsuspecting drivers.

However, at least one restaurant owner said it had not affected business.

“It is a small hole in the road so small vehicles can still use the road to reach the restaurant. Business at the restaurant was not affected; there is still access to the restaurant,” Manager of Round House Restaurant Calvin Small told Barbados TODAY.

When a team from Barbados TODAY visited the area today workmen from Infra Inc were busy installing new water mains. (NC)
