200 lbs of cannabis found on fishing boat

COURT TODAY BLOCKThe two men allegedly found onboard a fishing vessel containing over 200 lbs of cannabis were granted bail today.

Both Augustine Decoursey Adams, 41, of Vault Road, Welchman Hall, St Thomas and 42-year-old fisherman Ryan Oneal Rollins of Landsdowne, St Christopher, Christ Church were released on $150,000 bail by Magistrate Douglas Frederick when they reappeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court.

As part of the conditions they were also asked to surrender their travel documents and report to a police station every Wednesday before 10 a.m.

They are jointly charged with possession, intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cannabis.

They were detained after police seized their boat off Carlisle Bay on April 7, as well as 212 lbs of cannabis aboard the vessel.

Adams and Rollins are scheduled to return to court on July 21.
