A fourth man accused of stealing sweet potatoes

A fourth man has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of sweet potatoes.

Hayden Ricardo Brathwaite, 42, of Church Village, St Philip is accused of stealing the produce from a field at Sunbury Tenantry, on March 26.

He is set to appear at the District ‘C’ Magistrate today.

Yesterday Grantley McDonald Dacosta Thorpe of Valley Land, St George was remanded to jail after he pleaded guilty to stealing 105lbs of potatoes.

On Monday, Ian Emmerson Bennett, 41, of Cliff, St John confessed to five counts of stealing sweet potatoes from the Edgecumbe and Sunbury Plantations.
