Six young women – Shara Griffith, Kelly-Ann Welch, Pearl Cornelius, Kellishaw Olivierre, Nikita Belgrave and Tiffany Harding – perished in a fire at the former
Tudor Street boutique following an alleged robbery.

Bynoe, who faces six counts of murder, originally went on trial before Mr. Justice Randall Worrell two years ago but the case was declared a mistrial when it was into the sixth week.

Madam Justice Michelle Weekes will preside over the matter this time around with Principal Crown Counsel Alliston Seale again as the prosecutor.

Bynoe is again representing himself in the trial in which around 40 witnesses are expected to be called.
