5.7 earthquake felt in Grenada
Grenada was jolted this morning by a 5.7 magnitude earthquake, according to local and regional disaster officials.
However, there were no reports of damage or injury.
The Seismic Research Centre at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad said the quake occurred at 8:22 a.m., 88 km east of Carupano, Venezuela and 105 km west of San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago.
Officials at the National Disaster Management Agency in Grenada and the Barbados-based Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency are monitoring the situation.
