21-year-old caught with cannabis

COURT TODAY BLOCKA 21-year-old man who ran afoul of the law for the first time, has been ordered to complete 90 hours of community service.

Jagdeshwar Narine pleaded guilty yesterday in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court to having a small amount of cannabis on Sunday, when police saw him sitting in the verandah of a house at Delaware Land, St Michael.

They had reason to conduct a search and 11 wrappings were found on him.

Narine, a mason, was granted $2,000 bail until June 24 when he returns to court.
