Richards answers drug find at airport

COURT TODAY BLOCKJevon Jason Richards, a 30-year-old labourer, will return to court next week after being accused of four drug-related charges.

The Princess Royal Avenue, Pine, St Michael resident went before Acting Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates Court today.

He was not required to plead to the indictable offences of possession, intent to supply, trafficking and importation of 12. 6 pounds of cannabis, all allegedly occurring on March 23.

The drugs were reportedly found in a barrel at Grantley Adams International Airport.

Richards was remanded until April 6, when he will appear at the District ‘B’ Court.
