Painter on rape, assault charges

COURT TODAY BLOCKThe picture painted today in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court wasn’t so pleasant for Gavin Kenville Issacs.

The 27-year-old painter of Eversley Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael was not required to plead to the indictable charge of raping a female on March 25, 2016.

However, he pleaded not guilty to assaulting the
same woman, and using threatening words against her on March 2.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant released him on $8,000 bail and ordered him to stay away from the virtual complainant.

He also has to report to Hastings Police Station every Wednesday before 9 a.m.

He will reappear in court on June 30.
