Notre Dame beat Potential Ballers

Notre Dame duly defeated Potential Ballers 3-0 as action continued in the Banks Beer-sponsored Barbados Football Association’s Champions Cup at the Wildey, St Michael AstroTurf yesterday.

Potential Ballers showed a lot of grit in the opening exchanges to keep their more experienced opponents at bay going into the interval after a goal-less first-half.

The second half was a different story, though, as less than 20 minutes into the second half Zeco Edmee put the Dames in the lead.

Six minutes later Tremaine Cobham made it 2-0 and with the Ballers trying to get back into the Round 3 tie, Chavez Lloyd put the game away in the 75th minute to make it 3-0.

It was a closer affair in the Brittons Hill versus Porey Spring clash with the former having to fight hard to beat the St Thomas team 2-1.

Porey Spring will rue the fact that they conceded a late goal that led to the match going into extra-time.

They scored in the 11th minute through Antonio Arthur and kept that lead with a minute to go in regulation time.

Then, in the 89th minute Jermaine Forde got the equalizer for Brittons Hill and T’Shane Lorde subsequently brought grief to Porey Spring’s supporters when he netted in the 111th minute of the encounter.
