Gas station robbed

Police are investigating a robbery at Esso gas station on Tweedside Road this morning.

Police spokesman Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch told Barbados TODAY that at approximately 5:45 a masked man armed with a cutlass robbed and injured an attendant of an undisclosed sum of money.

A few by-standers came to the attendant’s assistance before chasing the robber, however he escaped.

    This Gas station was a hot spot for robbers in the past , so I do hope by now that the establishment is fully equip with the latest CCTV.

      Exactly !!…but in TnT and Jamaica when murderers are release BEFORE serving their TIME ???? ( what time ??…their time is LIFE IN JAIL)….they are found dead in the next day or so.
      ….and we got a mercy committee bout hey ONLY LOOKING FA GOOD NAME right now contemplating whether to release another MURDERER who BEHEADED TWO PEOPLE…. back into society .Who knows he might go after the other one that got away then.
      You mean to tell me the mercy committee BOUT HEY got more power than a JUDGE ??…DAMN STUPIDNESS !!

    There are many people who are unemployment and are probably suffering the same fate as this man, but do they go out and victimize others? Of course not! This man made a conscious decision to rob this gas station-when he could have simply ask family, friends or strangers, or perhaps, get a bucket and wash someone’s car. My point is we have choices, but some prefer to take the easy way out.

    It not a nice feeling my home some man come in our house and theif my computer my gold ears ring some money my housband was in town just at the back of st mary church a read man rob him of is chain
    I would like to thank the police they did a goo job each time they get them But we did not nothing back but i am glad they get them and about 8 days a ago some one come in my garage an take away a gas bottle that have gas

    Attendants can be given Tasars if the company so desires! District police stations can issue the licences appropriately!
