I pray that good sense , discretion and give and take will prevail. I have alot of confidence in BWU leadership and relevant stakeholders to sit and discuss matters – this is the Barbadian. Reckless and unbridled radicalism is not the Barbadian way.

Wake-up, you are killing the golden goose with this ridiculous action and the tourists will go elsewhere !!

What you want workers to do if they cannot partake in the fatted calf and the golden goose ?

    • harry turnover March 24, 2016 at 5:36 pm

Who caused the workers to kill the golden goose ? had it not been for the workers there would not have been a goose at all.

I am all for good working conditions for workers, but these unions who are prepared to hold a Country up to ransom, that is where I part company.

Rather than unions asking the few non-productive workers to produce they are flexing their muscles.
Anthony like you say we need a Ronald Reagan. Seem like the unions are large and in charge. We will all suffer but the very poor among us will feel it most.
I am beginning to lose faith in Union and politicians. I
Workers are being used to satisfy egos.

Bim the “strike” capital of the world…every week somebody on strike…

  11. Coralita March 24, 2016 at 7:58 pm

When Bl&P got rid of the workers BWU did not strike, when Sandy lane refused to give the workers an increase in pay BWU did not strike. BWU only playing hardball with the government. The government should strike back. Pay them the money then send home half of them.

Why is it that the first line of action for the union is to call out the airport and seaport workers. They throw a monkey wrench is the tourism product by this action. Why can’t they call BRA to strike or MTW or GIS?
