Melwani case dismissed

COURT TODAY BLOCKIt cost a complainant $250 today after he asked for the cessation of criminal proceedings which he had initiated against Terry Anderson Jackson.

Dave Melwani made the request of Magistrate Douglas Frederick when the case came up for hearing in the District ‘A” Magistrates Court.

Jackson, of #6 Sea Breeze Drive, Crane, St Philip, was charged with stealing $6,400 belonging to Melwani.

The complainant was ordered to pay costs forthwith or face seven days in prison. The money was paid and the case dismissed.
