Building in Vincentian capital collapses

Vincentian authorities are continuing investigations into what led to the partial collapse of a building in Kingstown early this morning.

There were no reports of injury or damage when the section of the building, which formerly housed The Horseshoe Restaurant on Grenville Street, gave way before 7 a.m.

The building housed a salon and street vendors also used some sections to store their wares.

An engineer from the Ministry of Transport and Works said the building estimated to have been built in the 1930s, may have collapsed because of its age.
