Newton denies stealing rings

COURT TODAY BLOCKA man accused of stealing two gold rings valued over $4,000 was granted bail when he appeared in court today.

Jamel Ricardo Newton, 31, of Apartment #3, Hopewell, Christ Church pleaded not guilty to stealing the two rings worth $4,500 belonging to McDonald Padmore sometime between January 26 and February 10, 2016.

Magistrate Douglas Frederick granted him $5,000 bail and ordered him to return to court on May 10, 2016.
